New Garden Consult First steps
Walk your site with Hand & Petal and learn the secrets your landscape has to tell. The fee for this in-person consult is $195.00 and it takes approximately 1.5 hours. Together we will identify constraints, review concerns, and mark the opportunities of your landscape. Hand & Petal leaves each client with a suggested plant list, proposed locations for specific plants, important next steps, cost estimates for garden installation services, and a list of native plant resources.
Garden Installation Small Gardens
Hand & Petal Landscapes’ signature style of planting can also be achieved for small gardens in a cost effective manner. Clients can book a site visit for a thorough consultation to discuss needs and goals for new gardens. Hand & Petal will provide a proposed plant list and identify placement of trees, shrubs, and/or plants after site visit and contracts have been created. On the installation day a final layout of plants is approved by the client before planting. Final pricing is determined upon site visit and plant availability, but generally clients should expect $1500.00 for the first 100 square feet and then $500-$850 for every additional 100 square feet. Additional costs can include:
Sod and/or weed removal
Significant site preparation
Hardscape and edging
Landscape Masterplanning Full Yards & Large Gardens
Larger properties (1 acre or more) may require landscape masterplans. Examples of landscape masterplans can include:
Transitioning agricultural land to meadow
Managing woodlands
Addressing distinct needs for large private landscapes
Our process brings the client and the land together — ensuring an appropriate understanding of the ecological processes and identity of your landscape. Our responsive site design leads to remarkable “moments” in the landscape unique to the site’s growing conditions. Phasing of the masterplan and install estimates will be provided at the end of the masterplanning process.
